When my family and I joined the school in 1999, a group of parents held meetings, discussing school related issues, planning events etc. After making enquiries I was told this was the Parents/Teachers Association or PTA for short. Wow! Coming from
Soon I discovered that it was a great thing.
Throughout the last five years the school developed, kids grew, teachers changed, parents left, returned etc. The PTA still exists and is active.
Our Mission is to:
- Support and speak on behalf of the children in school
- Assist parents and teachers in developing fund raising events, plus encouraging positive communication between sections of the school and the greater community.
Our Objectives are:
- To promote the welfare of the children in a nurturing and caring environment,
- To support actions that will ensure a safe and healthy environment at all times.
- To facilitate closer ties between home and school,
- To build an effective network that will benefit the physical, mental, social and spiritual education of the children, free of any borders concerning race, sex, religion or status
Our PTA is already a catalyst for effective parental involvement, strengthening communities and bringing together El Gouna and Hurghada families for social events and other activities throughout the year.
The PTA has the Power to inspire school life positively.
