THE HISTORY OF EL GOUNA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

El Gouna International School was founded in September 1998 in order to provide schooling for children in El Gouna and the Red Sea, providing a dual curriculum for Egyptians and overseas students.

It was opened by Mrs. Susanne Mubarak and began with 60 students from both sections- EGIS and El Gouna National School (now known as El Gouna Language School EGLS)
Teaching provision has increased from an original number of 10 to in excess of 60.
Below you will find a few photographs that help display our short history. If you have any suitable photos from 1998 that you think would suit this website please pass them on to us. We may be able to scan and present them on our History Page.
